TAKE AWAY

Jacob has once again amazed his parents as a little boy in Kindergarten. He is growing up entirely too quickly. This weekend, I was in Wal-mart and Jacob said mom give me math problems, so I said 5+2 and other simple addition problems which I was already surprised that he could do. After just a few of these he says "you can give me take aways mom, I know how to do those to" I said 6 - 2 and he came up with the correct answer of 4. I am surprised at what he is learning in just Kindergarten. His teachers are awesome and I am blessed to have a little boy who loves to learn. Just had to share a proud mommy thing.

The Circus Came to Town

Griffin's school puts on a circus each year with the 3 year old classes showing many of the activities done during Ready, Set, Go, their physical educaiton program. This year's circus was great. Griffin had been excited for weeks and the teachers with our help had talked him into being the ringmasters. He was to open the show in a top-hat and coat with tails saying "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the circus. Tuesday morning on the way to school ,he kept practicing his part and was so excited, but when the show started, mom was surprised to see Griffin was a tiger. The teachers said he changed his mind when they were getting dressed and they could not change it back. The circus was still a great success and as you can see, he made a really cute tiger.

Baseball season is here

We have a new experience for our family. On Monday, Jacob had his very first baseball practice. He was so excited. Two weeks before we had registered him and gotten him all of his gear. His favorite piece is his DeMarini bat (hope I spelled that right). He did a great job throwing, catching and batting, but said he needed us to practice catching ground balls with him since we hadn't and he didn't think he did too well. Anyway we were very proud. He has practice twice a week and his first week with games is about a month away. He can't wait to get his uniform. We will have to post a picture of him in it once it arrives.

New Home

For those who have not been able to visit our new home purchsed last fall. Here are a couple of pictures. We absolutely love this house. My favorite is my huge kitchen, I think most all women would love it. Shane, who knows what his favorite part is, but I know that Jacob and Griffin think the best part is that they have lots of trees to climb and space to play.

Welcome!!

After reading some blogs by other family members I thought it would be great to create one for our family and try to keep it current so family and friends that are not local can keep up with our crazy life.

We are all great and still love North Carolina. Jacob is now 5 1/2 and Griffin is 4. They are both growing so rapidly.

Well, keep chekcing in and see what is going on with us.
